The Wait for the Blossoms

Writer's picture: Community AuthorCommunity Author

Sheby Najeeb writes about her longful wait for spring in this poem.

"White" is all that I can see

With a speck of green here and there.

The crows stopped cawing

as the winds started blowing.

Without a notice, came in the flurries

All white and blurry.

All living beings stopped

to understand the drop

in the temperature that came rushing in.

The buds waiting to bloom

felt the gloom.

The morning hue said

the snow is here to stay

for a few more days.

The cycle of the season

gave me no reason

to expect the green.

The change is

surely a sight to behold

for everyone who admires mother nature.

The pollen-filled air

the blossoming pair

of flowers,

The fragrance that spread

filling your senses

the rivers that are waiting

to flow ..

The birds that are waiting to migrate -

those days are yet to come..

Spring, Where are you?

Do come soon as I'm flying away from you,

soon....
